HEART OF REPENTANCE

Noun metanoia: 'afterthought, change of mind, repentance…' is used of 'repentance' from sin or evil….As regards 'repentance' from sin, (a) the requirement by God on man's part is set forth. Transformation, conversion, rebirth or new birth. CONVERTED IS TRANSFORMATION. WHOLEISISTIC REPENTANCE MIND - WILL - EMOTIONS... CHANGE DIRECTION. A CHANGE OF MIND, THAT LEADS TO A CHANGE OF HEART AND LIFE STYLE. 1. If my people, who are called by my name- OWNERSHIP, ONENESS, WE ARE HIS... 2. Will humble themselves, James 4:6 (New International Version) 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." 3. And pray and seek my face - TARRY! 4. And turn from their wicked ways-- REPENT~! A. Desire changes.. Will or want to change. How do we get desire? 1. Value. -- importance or priority. Eternal values not temporal values. 2. Pleasures -- healthy and bad. 3. Need. -- Real or imagined (appetites). 5. Then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. NOTE: ANOINTED LIFE AND BLESSINGS, COME WITH REPENTANCE AND OBEDIENCE TO CHRIST JESUS. GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS OF RIGHTEOUS. GRACE AND MERCY COMES AS WE SEEK HIM, CRY TO CHRIST JESUS, LEAN ON HIM!!! FAITH WORKS BY AGOPE LOVE. WE LOVE CHRIST, THEN WE OBEY HIM. THUS HE IS OUR ONLY LORD. It is supper important that we understand repentance. Repentance is set forth as being universally required. We read: "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now comandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17: 30). It is either repent or perish (Lk. 13: 3, 5). God desires our repentance and is longsuffering in an effort to afford mankind the opportunity to repent and not perish (2 Pet. 3: 9). Let us now consider what repentance is not. Repentance is not simply cessation from sin (Gen. 6: 6). Repentance is not simply sorrow for sin (2 Cor. 7: 10). Strictly considered, repentance is not within itself the source of faith, getting saved, or reformation of life (cp. Mk. 1: 15; Acts 2: 38; Matt. 21: 29). What precisely is repentance? Beloved, repentance is, biblically viewed in the setting of salvation, a change of mind or will that is produced by godly sorrow and the goodness of God that results in a change or reformation of life (Matt. 21: 29; 2 Cor. 7: 10, Rom. 2: 4; Matt. 21: 29. GODLY SORROW IS OUR EMOTIONS TOUCHED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. THUS AFFECTING OUR DESIRE TO CHANGE. WE MUST GET A RIGHTIUOS HATERED FOR A SIN OR SINS ISSUE IN OUR LIFE. CONCUSSION: PRAYER OF SEARCHING... SEEKING.... REPENTANCE... PRAY FOR AMERICA TO RETURN BACK TO RIGHTEOUSNESS AND GODLY FOUNDATION. OH LORD, GIVE US A HEART AFTER YOU ONLY, GIVE US A HEART OF REPENTANCE FROM OUR OWN SELF CENTERED WAYS TO SEEK AFTER YOU AND OBEY ONLY YOU, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME I PRAY! AMEN!
